I Trapped the Devil

Hoping for a joyful family reunion, Matt and his wife pay a surprise visit to the home of his estranged brother, Steve, to celebrate Christmas. To their shock, they soon learn that Steve has a hostage in his basement — a man he claims is the devil.

Original Score by Ben Lovett

  • "Veteran indie-film composer Ben Lovett contributes a strong score."
    — Variety

  • "Ben Lovett's shriek-inducing musical score provides a suitable embellishment"
    — Hollywood Reporter

  • "Lobo manages to burn images onto the screen that will linger and haunt you for a long while after the film has finished, a sustained unease that’s helped enormously by the score from composer Ben Lovett"
    — Cinapse

  • "This will be up there with the best horror scores of the year and it's no surprise it comes from an experienced composer in Ben Lovett who recently worked on Netflix horror The Ritual."
    — Alain Elliott, Wightblood

  • "Ben Lovett’s score is more evidence that the man who sold the horror in THE WIND and THE RITUAL understands the importance of music in horror. Those two films utilized music and sound perfectly to create tension and put that feeling of dread in your stomach. With I TRAPPED THE DEVIL operating in minimalism, the music is even more important in establishing tension and Lovett’s score melds with the sound effects to create an underlying dread that percolates through the entire film. It pulses, mixing ambient noises and thudding bass."
    — Gayly Dreadful
